English food has traditionally been based on beef, lamb, pork, chicken and fish, generally served with potatoes and one other vegetable. The most common and typical foods eaten in England include the sandwich, fish and chips, pies and pudding.

Not all puddings are sweet puddings, some are eaten during the starter or main course like Yorkshire Pudding and Black Pudding

Puddings and Cakes in England
There are hundreds of variations of sweet puddings in England but each pudding has the same basic ingredients of milk, sugar, eggs, flour and butter. Many of the puddings involve fresh fruit such as raspberries or strawberries, custard and cream.
